Both the department of curators and the department of conservators host a number of international students each year.

Department of curators

The competitive entrance examinations for student-curators are open to all European nationals.
Furthermore, INP offers international professionals the possibility to enrol for short periods or for the full course of studies provided for French student-curators. Training programmes are :

The full cycle developed for French student-curators (18 months).

  1. Short cycles (9 months)
  2. Customised cycles (varying length).

An International Diploma or Certificate of Heritage Studies is delivered on successful completion of a course.

International students have to submit an admission file (before 1st October) which will be examined by a committee chaired by the Director of the Institute. There are three prerequisites: a high level of academic and technical expertise, a professional project for the country of origin, fluent French.

Department of conservators

The competitive entrance examination for the five-year course of studies is open to French and international candidates.
The department also hosts international trainees for three-month placements conducted within an exchange protocol. Applicants should already be engaged in a similar institute abroad, and the period of study at INP is validated by an agreement between the two schools.
