Created in 2010, PRES hésam notably sets up the most important ressource of research and higher education in the field of history of arts and cultural heritage in France.

The Inp’s support to this new regroupment will enable to fully enhance and transmit its know-how to the professions dealing with cultural heritage and to the training of high level civil servants, both in France and overseas.

As an associate member, the Inp will incorporate students specialized in curation and restoration into research groups and laboratories all of which belong to the ressource of research and higher education, thus enabling them to participate to both national and international programmes.

Membership to PRES hésam will enable students to get equivalent ratings between teaching modules at the Inp and those of their Masters and Doctorate degrees at their own universities, thus allowing them to carry on with their PHD studies.

Finally, membership at PRES hésam will help the Inp stimulate the development of seminars, conferences, cultural spreading, scientific publishings and communication.
