The Institute's missions

The Institut national du patrimoine, a higher education establishment of the Ministry of Culture, is responsible for the competitive recruitment and initial training of heritage curators for the French State, local authorities and the City of Paris. It is also in charge of selecting, also by competitive examination, and training conservator-restorers qualified to work on public collections.
