Since 2025, following a visit by representatives of Nigerian cultural institutions, the INP has been gradually developing a partnership with Nigerian institutions, in particular with the Museum of Western African Art (MOWAA) in Lagos.

June 2026: Visit to the INP by Elizabeth Adeyemo, a conservator at the MOWAA.

June 2025: Visit to France by a Nigerian delegation of heritage sector professionals, including representatives from the MOWAA, the National Commission for Museums and Monuments, the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilisation, and the Yaba Art Museum.
