In Armenia, with the support of the French Embassy and in association with the Scientific Research Center of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of Armenia, a two-year training programme for Armenian heritage professionals is underway, onsite, online, and with occasional visits to France by officials.
A few dates
June 2026: Organisation of a new training workshop at the Matenadaran dedicated to the restoration of photographs; further initiatives are being considered, particularly as part of the bicentenary of photography.
March 2026: The INP’s participation in a conference entitled ‘The preservation of cultural heritage: the profession of conservator-restorer – from materials to science’ at the Armenian Academy of Fine Arts, focusing on the role of science in heritage restoration
2026: As part of the FEF programme supported by the French Embassy, continuation of training courses for Armenian heritage professionals on topics such as archaeological textiles, museum events, the art market and auction houses, the structuring of intangible heritage protection, museum strategy, and the chain of protection for historic monuments.
Since July 2025: The INP has been a member of the Scientific Council of the Armenian Cultural Heritage Institute.
November 2025: A delegation of Armenian professionals and academics was hosted in Paris.
June and November 2025: Two training workshops were organised at the Matenadaran, focusing on the restoration of photographs.
April 2025: Participation in the symposium ‘France–Armenia: historical and cultural dialogue’.
April 2025: Mission to Yerevan to prepare an initial training programme in restoration.
2025: Launch of a two-year Fonds Équipe France (FEF) programme for Armenian heritage professionals.
October 2024: Design and implementation of a training course on the conservation of graphic documents (handling, dust removal, packaging).
October 2024: Participation in the 13th edition of the international seminar ‘Faces of Memory’ organised at the Matenadaran, focusing this year on the latest technologies for the preservation and restoration of manuscript and printed heritage.
2022-2024: Implementation of a programme of short training courses in Armenia, aimed at professionals, on themes defined in conjunction with the Armenian Ministry of Culture.
2022-2023: Implementation ofa professional exchange programme in Paris and Lyon for Armenian heritage professionals.
2022: Support for the project to create an illustrated multilingual glossary of Armenian architectural terms, accessible online.
2021: Signing of a partnership agreement to set up a cooperation programme with Matenadaran, the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts.
April 2021: Organisation by the Institut national du patrimoine, in partnership with Europa Nostra and the Ecole du Louvre, of an international study day on the protection of the cultural heritage of the South Caucasus.
